- From, To, Cc, Date and Subject at the top.
- The message with its own fonts, colours, tables and pictures.
- Every attachment, listed with its name and size, ready to save.
- Emails forwarded inside it, saved as files you can open here too.
Why .eml files open badly on some devices
An .eml file is the standard format for one email, so many apps can open it. But Windows without a mail app, phones and some webmail show only raw code, or drop the pictures and attachments. Some apps also hide the attachments, or show them as a block of letters at the end of the message. On Windows, an .eml file may even open in Outlook, which isn't always set up. This viewer reads the file in your browser and shows the whole email, wherever you are.
Where .eml files come from
Gmail
Three dots next to Reply, then Download message.
Apple Mail
Dragging an email to the desktop saves an .eml file.
Thunderbird
File, Save As, File saves an .eml file.
Forwarded as attachment
An email forwarded as an attachment often arrives as an .eml file.
Save, print or share it
Once open in full, free up to 2 MB or unlocked, the email is yours to keep. Save it as an exact PDF with a clean header and page numbers, print it straight from the page, or save any attachment on its own. After saving a PDF, a QR code sends it to your phone, encrypted, so you can share it from there. The link expires after 24 hours.
Is it safe to open confidential emails?
Yes. Emails often hold contracts, invoices and personal details, so this tool works inside your browser. The file is opened on your own device, and we never see it. Scripts in an email are removed and it is shown in a sealed frame, so a harmful email cannot run code on your computer.
