How to make one PDF from many emails

For a case file, an audit or a handover, one PDF that tells the story from the first email to the last.

Updated 29 October 2026 · 2 min read

Step 1: Save the emails as files

  • Outlook for Windows: select the emails and drag them into a folder. Each is saved as a .msg file.
  • New Outlook and Outlook on the web: right-click each email, choose Save as or Download.
  • Gmail: open each email, click the three dots, then Download message.
  • Apple Mail: select the emails and drag them into a folder in Finder.

Step 2: Merge them into one PDF

  1. Open batch MSG to PDF and drop the folder, or a ZIP of it.
  2. Check the list: every email with its date, sender and subject.
  3. Choose One merged PDF, and whether to add the cover page.
  4. Unlock with a 24-hour pass or Pro, and download.

How the order works

Emails are sorted oldest first by the date they were sent, or by the date received if you prefer. All dates are put in one time zone first. If an email has no date, the date the file was saved is used, and the cover page marks it as "date estimated".

What's in the bundle

  • A cover page listing every email's date, sender and subject.
  • Each email on clean pages, with page numbers through the whole bundle.
  • PDF and image attachments right after their email; other files in a zip alongside.
  • An optional password to lock the PDF.

Everything is converted in your browser, so we never see your emails.
